DESCARNE, created in 2021, is my inaugural virtual installation, depicting individuals of the digital era as cyborgs, inseparable from their synthetic extensions. Avatars and online personas reign supreme in our daily lives, surpassing our physical existence. DESCARNE serves as a profound allegory for humanity's migration into the digital realm and its unyielding pursuit of perfection and immortality. In this sterile, boundless space, digital sculptures beckon viewers to embrace the matrix through the fusion of human forms and electronic extensions. The floor displays a vast sea of discarded bodies behind glass, symbolizing the transition to the digital void. Notably, the six principal works featured in this space were available for purchase in the gift shop, and they offered an added dimension of interactivity as "holdables," enriching the viewer's experience. INTERNAUTA, 2020, is a video shortfilm and AR filter made during the pandemic to be exhibit during one of the online editions of GOP TUN, electronic music festival. INTERNAUTA plays with the limit between our realities, discussing the immersion in the cyberspace and the imagetic references and values resulted from this process.
